We have combined the calendar and tournaments to streamline presentation for the chess club and the Chess Academy. This page contains club news and local tournaments that are suitable for both adults and juniors. Tournaments just for junior players, including the forthcoming Megafinals in Cambridge and Peterborough, appear on the Chess Academy pages.
We no no longer carry the Bury League fixtures on the website as it simply duplicates the information on the League Management System (LMS) site. That site also carries detailed results, players’ records, team stats and League tables.
CLUB NEWS
The Linton Chess club is likely to be open right through the summer. League matches and the club Championship continue to mid-May. Thereafter we will invite the stronger Ravenclaw players along to the club to take part in rapidplay tournaments, puzzle evenings and studies. At the end of August we will revert to normal club evenings as the new season starts at the beginning of September.
