The Linton club championship is held each season as a 5 round Swiss tournament. The championship dates from 1999, with the Jim Carr Memorial Shield presented annually to the winner. Since 2019 a second trophy, the John Dawson Memorial Shield, has been awarded to the highest-placed player in the lower half of the draw.
The 2025/26 championship winner was Paul Kemp who was awarded the Jim Carr trophy and Simon Marsden was awarded the John Dawson trophy as the highest-placed player from the lower half of the draw.
